Winter Recess, ten days. School resumes Monday 4 January. The only stretch long enough for real travel.

Second window

15 to 19 Feb

Mid-Winter Recess, a full week. School resumes Monday 22 February.

Third window

19 to 23 Apr

Spring Recess. Note this one can shift: unused snow days may be given back here.

Both parents wanted

Parent teacher conferences, and both are no-school days. The school asks that both parents attend and sends a sign-up a few weeks ahead.

Snow and weather, in the school's words

Closures follow Nyack public schools, and unused snow days can come back to you.
"In the case of implement weather school will be closed according to the guidelines set forth in the parent handbook. If the allotted Snow/Weather days are not used in the course of the year Nyack public schools may choose to give back an additional day whereby we may have an additional day off for April vacation or Memorial Day weekend as determined to us by Nyack public schools."
Quoted verbatim from the calendar, including the typo for "inclement." The handbook adds the mechanics: a one hour delay means arriving at 9:45, a two hour delay means 10:45, and if Nyack cancels, Little Nest cancels. Check nyackschools.org, and the school emails after the call is made.
