The supply list.

Doubled for two. Every line means two unless it says otherwise, and everything gets a name label. Mark a line ordered once it is bought, or have it once it is in the house. You and Kat see the same list, on any device.

For the first week

Cold weather, buy later

Long Path Outfitters, Nyack. Mention Little Nest for 10% off rain gear. The school named them directly.

Test the rain gear before it rains. Holly asked twice. Water resistant is not rainproof, and they go out every day.

The bins go to orientation on September 1, not the first day. The handbook and the supply list disagree, and orientation is the safer read.

Four rules that catch people out

Slippers are banned outright. Fire regulation. Indoor shoes need a rubber sole and a velcro closure they can work alone. Crocs only for very stable walkers, not recommended under two.

No onesies. Dressing and changing are independence practice, and a onesie makes that impossible. Separates only.

Borrowed clothes come home dirty and go back clean. The school lends spares when a child runs out of their own.

Crib bedding only matters full day. You are full day, so both need a sheet and blanket. It comes home every Friday to wash.

From the Little Nest supply list 2026/27 and the parent handbook, both read in full on 1 August 2026. Original PDF.
